Rashad
Andre Jennings (born March 26, 1985) is an American football running back for
the Oakland Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He was drafted by
the Jacksonville Jaguars in the seventh round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played
college football at Liberty. Jennings
was signed by the Oakland Raiders on April 10, 2013. Jennings is the backup running back to Darren
McFadden. McFadden, the often injured running back, missed many games the 2013
season, thus Jennings became the starting running back weeks 5, 10, 11, 12,
(Jennings was injured week 14 against the Jets so fullback Marcel Reece got the
starting nod that day) and 15. Jennings saw his best rushing game of the season
on week 11 against Houston where he rushed 22 times for 150 yards (6.8 ypc)
with one touchdown. He also broke out for an 80 yard play that game. The official launch of the new Rashad
Jennings Foundation was in April of 2013. It was hosted at Latitude 30 by
Meraux Dantes and friends. It's a game changer.
Wade Smith
Wade Leon Smith, a Texan
native, is a Houston Texans Pro-bowler
Offensive Lineman. The 11-year veteran’s hard-hitting tactics were noticed
while playing at the University of Memphis. Wade was quickly noticed by the NFL
and was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft.
Within his decade career in the NFL, Wade has played with the New York Jets and
Kansas City Chiefs before making a stop in Houston with the Texans, which he
considers home. Wade started the Wade Smith Foundation in 2012 to help support the
many educational issues that continue to arise. The foundation’s focus is
Literacy and the mission is to “Facilitate the growth of today’s youth by
providing them with the necessary tools to improve their overall development as
young adults.” Within the past year, the foundation has reached over 15,000
kids and has given nearly $20,000 in scholarships.
