Michael Irvin

Michael Jerome Irvin is a former American football player for the Dallas Cowboys, and an actor.  He is also a former broadcaster for ESPN’s Sunday NFL Countdown and currently an analyst for NFL Network.  Irvin was self-nicknamed “The Playmaker” due to his penchant for making big plays in big games during his college career.  He played college football at the University of Miami.  In 2007, he was selected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Cowboys have been in 8 Super Bowls; Irvin played in 3 of them, all of which Dallas won.  Irvin finished his career with 750 receptions (tied with Charlie Joiner for 30th all-time in the NFL) for 11,904 yards (21stall-time in the NFL) and 65 touchdowns.  His 47 100-yard receiving games remains the 3rdmost in NFL history, behind Hall of Famers Jerry Rice (65) and Don Maynard (50).  Irvin was selected to 5 Pro Bowls (2 more than any other wide receiver in franchise history) and was named the MVP of the 1992 Pro Bowl.
E.J. Biggers

Edjaun Cinclair “E.J.” Biggers is an American football cornerback for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League.  He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 7th round of the 2009 NFL Draft.  He played college football at Western Michigan University.  Biggers signed with the Washington Redskins on March 20, 2013.  The Redskins used him as both a corner and a safety, Biggers never playing the latter in his professional career.  He recorded his first interception with the Redskins in their week 9 win against the San Diego Chargers.  On March 27, 2014, the Redskins re-signed Biggers.
Besides giving his all on the field, Biggers gives a lot back to the community through The Stars of Tomorrow Foundation with his childhood friend, Jemmy Jasmin.  The 3rd Annual Hangout Day Celebrity Charity Basketball Game is coming up on July 18, 2014 and The 5thAnnual Hangout Day NFL Youth Football & Cheerleading Camp is coming up on July 19, 2014.

Dr. Jen Welter

In terms of athletic resumes, few are a hard-hitting as that of little 5’2” linebacker Dr. Jen Welter, who made history as one of the first females to play in men's professional football. On January 24th, 2014 Welter signed with the Texas Revolution of the Indoor Football League to play Running Back. Due to the challenges of switching from playing with women to men, outdoor football to indoor football, and defense to offense, few people thought Welter would survive the Texas Revolution's Training camp. However, not only did she survive, Welter suited up for the preseason game against the North Texas Crunch on February 15, 2014. Welter rushed for 3 carries and -1 yard, and secured her spot in history as the first woman to play Running Back in men's professional football. 4 days after Welter made history, on February 19th, the Revolution named Welter to the 2014 regular season roster. After making the 24 man roster, Welter was among the 20 players suited up for the February 21st game.
