Episode Title: The Sports Girls LLC Present The Inside Score Featuring Alonzo Mourning, Leigh Steinberg, and Mario Chalmers!

Episode Description
The Sports Girls LLC Presents The Inside Score debut, and we promise not to let sports-fans down.  There is a saying that goes “go big or go home” as we have decided to go over the top!  Our first edition features two elite Miami Heat athletes, Alonzo Mourning and Mario Chalmers, along with the NFL agent credited as the real-life inspiration for the Sports Agent Character from the film “Jerry Maguire – Lee Steinberg.”  Lee Steinberg’s wealth of resources and experiences ensure he is frequently sought out to act as a consultant on a variety of entertainment projects, most notably “For Love of the Game,” “Any Given Sunday,'' and the TV series “Arliss.”  The Miami Heat are currently 2X NBA World champions chasing after that golden 3-peat. We are going to let these elite athletes talk about their foundations, passions, and goals.  Alonzo Mouring and Mario Chalmers both do so much for their community. It’s time to hear about some of the positive stories within the NBA.

Guest Bio Information:
Leigh Steinberg
Leigh Steinberg is widely recognized as the country’s leading sports agent and one of the most noteworthy sports attorneys in the nation. Leigh has represented the Number 1 pick in the NFL draft a record eight times, in addition to representing over 60 other first round draft picks just in the NFL, feats unheard of in today's marketplace. He may be best known as the inspiration for the lead character in Jerry Maguire who was a sports agent. In fact, Leigh made a cameo appearance at the end of the film. During his nearly 40 years in the industry, Steinberg has negotiated well over two billion dollars in deals for his clients. His firm, Steinberg Sports and Entertainment, maintains a client roster that is highlighted by some of the most high profile names in sports, including the likes of Steve Young, Troy Aikman, Ben Roethlisberger, Lennox Lewis, and Oscar de la Hoya. Leigh’s media appearances include CNN, ESPN and all four major networks, as well as numerous print media coverage.

Alonzo Mourning
Alonzo Mourning, a seven time NBA All-Star lives by the mantra that “to whom is given, much will be required.” He and his wife, Tracy, believe that by giving back to their community, they will set an unshakeable foundation for generations to come. Nicknamed "Zo", Mourning played at center, and his tenacity on defense twice earned him NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award, and perennially placed him on the NBA All-Defensive Team. He later won the 2006 NBA Championship with the Miami Heat, and in 2009, Mourning became the first Heat player to have his number retired. Alonzo Mourning carries that same tenacity over to other parts of his life, including the development of the Mourning Family Foundation. Since 1997, the Foundation has raised nearly 10 million dollars, with the goal to inspire others through advocacy, education, and enrichment services to enable donors with varied interests in children’s issues, the benefit of giving to several charities from their one contribution.

Mario Chalmers
Mario Chalmers acquired a love for basketball at the age of 3 and quickly advanced to the real court by age 5, playing his first organized basketball game with the Elmendorf Youth League in Alaska. By age 12, Mario brought home is first championship trophy. With more awards to come, Mario earned a place on the Defensive First Team for the University of Kansas, and hitting the "Miracle Shot" solidified his place in KU history. Shortly after the NCAA Championship win, Mario decided to enter the NBA draft. Known for steals on the court Mario was labeled "the steal of the draft” and was ecstatic when he became part of the Miami Heat. Mario will be remembered for many basketball heroics, but he's reaching beyond this by helping cancer patients. "Mario's Closet" offers low cost accessories like wigs, cosmetics, bras and prosthetics. For men and women fighting cancer, Mario's Closet is a comforting place that restores confidence, dignity and hope through personalized image renewal.

The Sports Girls Gospel on The Detroit Lions NFL #LionBlood

As you may or may not be aware The Sports Girl LLC have a chance to meet and talk with some of the best players off the field in the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and so much more.
There are so many great attributes some athlete's have off of the field.  I had the pleasure to spend some time with the Detroit Lions wide receiver, Nate Burleson while on vacation in my home town Detroit.  I have lionblood in me for life!  I was born and raised in West Bloomfield Michigan.

Nate has started an elite athletic line for men and women called Lionblood as well as am immaculate private line of high end tailor made suits called BLine.  Do you want a taste?  The Sports Girls highly encourage you to visit www.lionblood.com as I have seen some of the upcoming winter line.  This is not just a Detroit fad, this clothing line is in high demand all around the USA!  The cotton is as soft as silk, and the designs are sick.  I was amazed at how smart this man is.  He not only is becoming more dominant on the football field, but is running his own company and foundation.

Nate's foundation is called CATCH.  Mission Statement: The purpose of the Nate Burleson C.A.T.C.H Foundation is to reach and teach children and their families by providing them with educational tools to succeed as well as enriching their lives by showing them how to care for others, themselves and their future. Nate hosts many different charity events through out the year to raise funds to give back to children and families in need.  Did you have any idea that this athlete has accomplished so much in so little time?  The Sports Girls look forward to working with Nate and featuring him and Lionblood in our premiere of "The Inside Score" Tv series along with several other elite athletes and their foundations.  Our filming with Mario Chalmers and Mark Strickland three weeks ago was a blast.  See www.thesportsgirls.com for a sneak peak  of what we shot.  "Courtesy of Nate Burleson Foundation."

For a taste of what Nate did in week one versus the Viking's click on the link below courtesy of www.DetroitLions.com.  We just may see Nate wearing a gold jacket one day.  In the mean time if you are looking for a custom tailored made suit make sure you check out BLine!

In this week's Belle Tire Coach's View, Herman Moore sits down with head coach Jim Schwartz to discuss Nate Burleson's chunk play that led to Detroit's first touchdown in an eventual 34-24 win.

The Sports Girls Gospel on Mario Chalmers and more

The Sports Girls LLC had an amazing day last week filming with 2X NBA Miami Heat Champion Mario Chalmers and several other professional basketball players.   This was an event set up by former Miami Heat Player Mark Strickland, Floyd Rag, and many others that care about athletes off of the court.  The 4th Annual All Star Professional Basketball Mini Camp was a great success.  It is nice to know that there are athlete's that do so many good things off of the court to help children and various foundations.

The Sports Girls LLC multi medial corporation is designed to be the ultimate destination for sports fans to see their favorite athlete's off of the court.   They will have the opportunity to ask their idols questions that may get answered on LIVE television.  We are working on the final details of The Inside Score, Presented by The Sports Girls.  Our Nation Wide Search is on going.

I recently interviewed Mark Strickland and his goal is to set up four to five basketball mini camps a year to showcase the positive attributes most athletes obtain.  He spends endless hours working with children of all ages, and the time and dedication is impressive.  These children will never forget this experience and I truly want to thank all of the athletes that participated in this event.   The Sports Girls are planning on putting together LIVE TV interviews with several professional athletes and we will use social media to get the sports fan input.  What do you want to know about them?  Stay tuned for more information regarding "The Inside Score".

I have to say that I am extremely impressed with the immaculate details of the Mario V Chalmers Foundation, Mario's Closet and Project 15.  I had the pleasure of meeting Mario's father, who is one really cool dude!  This is directly from his foundation page:  www.mariochalmersfoundation.com

Mario Chalmers Foundation Project 15

Project 15 is a monetary award designed to provide funding to community organizations that inspire youth to participate in educational and recreational activities. Project 15 recipients are awarded based on essay submission and/or community recommendations.

Mario's Closet

Mario Chalmers will always be remembered for making the miracle 3-point that helped propel the KU Jayhawks to the national title in 2008. Now, he's reaching beyond his basketball heriocs by helping cancer patients in the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. "Mario's Closet" will offer patients low cost accessories like wigs, cosmetics, bras and even prostheses. The Miami Heat guard says he always wanted to learn more about cancer after his childhood friend lost his mother to breast cancer. "I try to do my best on the basketball court so people will remember me, but off the court I try to do as much I can", said Chalmers. He added it's important to help out the people who are struggling to battle cancer.

The Mario Chalmers Foundation donated $25,000 to the hospital to create the shop. It will offer items at a reduced cost to some patients and is open Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Again for more information on this highly reputable foundation visit www.mariochalmersfoundation.com.  I am sure you will be impressed like The Sports Girls Team was.

NBA Season is right around the corner once again.   Thank you so much for reading The Sports Girls Blog!

The Sports Girls have been extremely busy and I apologize for the lapse in my blog.  However, I have some really exciting news about The Sports Girls LLC and I need your help.  As you all know we have been working on our new television series, “The Inside Score”, which will take you inside the personal lives of athlete’s all over the US.  We will showcase the positive attributes they have and go behind the scenes to find out what their passion is off of the field!  We are so disgusted with the negative stories in the media and we are going to change that!  The Sports Girls have a chance to pitch our story to over six million viewers, and we would highly appreciate you following us on Twitter, liking our You Tube Channel, Face Book, and Instagram.

Now lets get down to business.  I had an amazing time at Dolphins training camp in Davie on Wednesday.   Mile Wallace was suited up and several of the wide receivers looked pretty determined to nail down their spot on the permanent roster.  I would keep your eyes on rookie Brian Tyms from Florida A&M as he made a great first impression on that field last Wednesday as well as against Jacksonville last night.  The Dolphins may regret trading Davone Bess to Cleveland, however there are several contenders to replace him this year.  Brian Hartline, the veteran wide receiver looks like he is in the best shape of his life, and can run some pretty impressive slant routes.

The battle for tight ends is in full effect as former New York Jet Dustin Keller shined like the sun on that practice field.  Dion Sims and veteran Michael Egnew will have to battle it out for the final tight end spot.   I got a great audio interview with running back, Lamar Miller.  He is simply super fast!  I need to figure out how to post audio interviews into this blog.  If anybody has any suggestions, please advise J.

Do you think the Dolphins are going to miss Jake Long?  I think that they may.  Cameron Wake is now the icon regarding defensive ends.   The Dolphins owners took an immense risk in the draft to obtain rookie Dion Jordan from Oregon. The defense is looking stronger than ever.  I expect a lot of great changes in the defensive secondary this year, and hopefully they can make an emerging impact in their division early.  By the way: rookie Caleb Sturgis from Florida made a 52-yard field goal against the wind on the practice field.  It was pretty impressive.  He is going to give Dan Carpenter a run for his money.

There are two more pre-season games left so we shall see how the Fins nation fans react to the outcome of their home games against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on August 24th and the New Orleans Saints on August 29th.   The Sports Girls will be at camp at 1pm tomorrow getting more interviews, notes, and provide you with the “inside score” on the Miami Dolphins.

Until our next blog keep doing what you do best.  If you want to be a sports girl please visit our web site SOON at www.thesportsgirls.com.  We are on the edge of our seats waiting to hear back from an opportunity that could finally take The Sports Girls LLC to the next level.  Please continue to give us feedback, follows, and your friendly hellos on face book and all The Sports Girls Social Media sites.  New videos are being posted to The Sports Girls You Tube Channel.

The time is now!  Football is back.  It was great to see guys like Jonathan Martin signing autographs for the kids.  The Sports Girls love seeing that!
